Green Tech Center Inaugurated by H.R.H. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark
4 July 2014
Denmark holds a unique position within innovation and development of green technologies. With the inauguration of Green Tech Center in the city of Vejle, a new state-of-the-art test and demonstration facility has become a reality, furthering Danish technologies across the green landscape.
Green Tech Center gathers companies, research institutions and authorities related to test and demonstration of green technologies. The center comprises the main building, Green Tech House, which covers 4000m2 office space for 200 knowledge workers, the Green Tech Park, which is a 16,000 m2 demonstration facility to test green technologies, and the Green Tech Lab, a 1200m2 facility for research, educational and innovation settings.
The centre has been built on the initiative of INSERO, CASA and Lysholt Erhverv (Bagger-Sørensen Invest & Hanssen Holding) and has received support from the municipality of Vejle, Region of Southern Denmark, University of Southern Denmark, SDE College, Lillebaelt Academy, VIA University College, TRE-FOR, Lean Energy Cluster (now CLEAN), the Danish Energy Association and the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).
Collaboration with State of Green
State of Green will collaborate with Green Tech Center to strengthen Danish export of green technologies. This includes a number of national and international showcasing activities surrounding green energy-technological solutions, including international delegation visits from commercial and political decision makers, as well as international media.
In addition, State of Green has provided a political and technological overview of the green Danish transition towards fossil independence by 2050. Two touch screens have been installed with political and technological information about green Danish strongholds, presented through a combination of storytellings, facts, images and videos. Furthermore, it is possible to explore more than 50 integrated solutions from Danish companies.
