Metering and Power and Control Electronics

Power Electronics are a vital part of replacing fossil fuels, with renewable energy sources. Efficient power and control electronics help optimize and improve the performance of installations such as wind turbines – making them a viable alternative to more conventional energy sources.

The technology in this area is developing rapidly; with a special focus on energy-efficiency. Power and control electronics can be applied at all levels: from power generation, through transmission and distribution to end-user applications.

Metering is also a method of reducing energy consumption, especially at end-user level. Accurate metering, showing actual consumption of heat, electricity and water; and the prospect of saving money, are a great incentive for consumers to cut back on consumption.
