Mechanical Components and Generators

From the outside, a wind turbine looks huge though simple. When looking inside the turbine, however, its complexity prevails. Many integrated components are necessary for the wind turbine to be able to generate electricity. Mechanical components, generators, gearboxes, hydraulics, bonding & sealants, oil systems &lubrication, fans & cooling solutions and heat exchangers are all placed in or around the head of the turbine, also called the nacelle.

To ensure top quality and a long lifespan of the wind turbine, the precision and quality of each component and solution used are essential.Based on the Danish wind power industry’s long experience, a number of Danish companies have developed key competences in how to develop and produce these components in the best and most efficient way.
