Stirling engines coupled with a combustion chamber can be directly fuelled by low-calorific liquid or gaseous fuels, such as pyrolysis oil, landfill gas or gas from sewage treatement.
The external combustion system allows for the optimization of the combustion process. Efficiency is increased by utilizing preheated combustion air. The NOx and CO emissions are kept at a very low level.
