ITS - Intelligent Transport Systems

Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is one of the means to solve some of the major challenges within traffic, environment and climate.

ITS is an overall term for systems in which information technology contributes to improving traffic flow and transport.

The many new possibilities with ITS enable us to make use of the existing infrastructure in as optimal a manner as possible, for example a co-ordination of signalling systems will create a better traffic flow and thereby reduce noise and air pollution as well as the CO2-emission.

Ramboll has up-to-date knowledge and continuously develops innovative solutions within ITS, from major general and comprehensive planning assignments to specific and smart solutions in detail. Ramboll works with ITS within planning, traffic management, signals, road operation and public transport.
