NIK-VE

NIK-VE is a Danish abbreviation which may be translated "North Jutland Innovation and Competence Centre for Sustainable Energy". NIK-VE takes its starting point in the region of North Jutland, and it constitutes the content of a joint initiative in North Jutland within energy. NIK-VE aims at furthering and integrating cooperation between industry, research institutions and authorities etc. In order to achieve the best synergy and exchange of experience between other research- and development activities in Denmark, the participating knowledge institutions are placed in both region and in the rest of the country.

In NIK-VE, a range of development projects are launched and implemented through close cooperation between companies, research environments and other relevant partners. Furthermore, focus is on strategic development and strategic plans for central energy areas. NIK-VE's activities also include network- and knowledge sharing among the actors in the field of energy.

NIK-VE's objective is to strengthen research, education and knowledge sharing, but especially cooperation and integration between universities and industry, creating a meeting point for development, innovation and business generation and also rendering visible test facilities and demonstration works within the area of energy.
