Solution type: Implemented

NCC Property Development, as the first European property developer, has been approved as a GreenBuilding partner at corporate level. This entails that nearly 75 percent of the company’s projects must comply with GreenBuilding criteria. Two Green Buildings projects are completed in Denmark and the third is under construction.

Green Building criteria say that the energy consumption of new buildings must be at least 25 percent below the national requirement set for energy consumption.

Since 2008 it has been possible for Danish enterprises to join the European Green Building Programme. The EU’s goal is to reduce energy consumption and, accordingly, carbon-dioxide emissions, which is why Green Building was launched.
