World’s longest wind turbine blades in series production
The LM 61.5 P is the world’s longest mass-produced wind turbine blade, developed by LM Glasfiber in close collaboration with REpower Systems – the German manufacturer of the biggest wind turbine in the world. These blades were a major challenge in every respect, and our engineers were able to expand the envelope for what is possible in blade production.
Blade type: LM 61.5P *
Rotor diameter (max.) m: 126.3
Generator kw: 5000
Turbine control: Pitch
Blade length, nominal m: 61.5
Weight kg: 17700
Bolt circle diameter mm: 3200
All LM blades are built in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and are approved by the Risø National Laboratory in Denmark and Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and/or certified by Germanischer Lloyd.
The rotor diameter and generator effect specifications depend on the individual wind turbine.
