All Technology Relations for 1500-2000 kW blades for wind turbines
Show all technology relations
LM Glasfiber manufactures a range of different blades for multi-MW wind turbines.
Progress is swift. Just 20 years ago, the largest wind turbines had blades with a diameter of 15 metres and were only capable of producing 50 kW of electricity. Today, the largest wind turbine in the world has a capacity of 5 MW and can produce enough electricity to supply 5,000 European households. With a rotor diameter of 126 metres, and a sweep the near-equivalent of two football pitches.
