KEM A/S is a Danish supplier of biomass fired steam boilers used for power generation and/or district heating.

During the past years the company has been involved in numerous projects, and on this basis developed and refined products for utilization of the energy in biomass sources like forest wood, straw and husks.

The company is headquartered in Tarm where manufacturing and engineering of specialized components like crane systems, fuel feeding systems, mechanical grates and ash handling systems takes place. Project management and overall plant engineering is carried out at the branch office in Horsens.
 

The objectives of the company are:

• to build efficient and trouble-free biomass plants.
• to develop and build biomass plants where the main purpose is to produce heat or power in an economically, CO2 neutral and environmentally sound way.
• to be an economically and organisationally sound company with attached importance to the working environment and training of the work force.
• to build biomass plants for available fuel types and with high flexibility towards different types of fuel without essential changes.
