The project deals with improved design methods for wave loads on offshore wind turbines at depths exceeding 15 metres and the aeroelastic response. This is achieved through enhanced utilisation of metocean data, CFD modelling of wave-structure interaction for extreme wave impact to foundations, coupling with aeroelastic models and validation by physical model experiments.
