Potential in Synthetic Natural Gas as a renewable source

Funded projects: ForskEL

The purpose is to establish whether synthetic natural gas (SNG) produced by thermal biomass gasification could be a renewable source and a cost-effective alternative to natural gas. Through a theoretical study, the biomass potential, technologies and energy efficiency will be mapped out through upgrade of the gas. The project also studies how SNG from gasification plants can be fed into the natural gas grid.
