Monitoring tar contents in gases

This project will examine the possibilities of continuous tar content monitoring in product gas from thermal gasification by means of UV-spectroscopy. The method will avoid expensive shut-downs and repairs due to too high tar contents in inlet gas to gas engines, tar cracking catalyst, fuel cells and gas to liquid fuel catalysts.
