Solution type: in Development phase

The characterisation of the formation of UFPs during combustion and to assess their toxicity

Funded project: ForskEL

Studies indicate that the presence of transition metals in ultrafine particles (UFPs) from combustion of fossil fuels constitutes a greater threat to human health than soot particles, for example. The object of this project is to characterise the formation of UFPs during combustion and to assess their toxicity.
