Optimisation of Yeast Strains

Funded project: EUDP

Terranol intends to modify yeast strains with industrially promising qualities so that they can ferment pentose sugars, which account for 25-40% of the sugar content of lignocellulose. Optimisation of the yeast strains with patented technologies is expected to lift the bioethanol production by 30-45% to the benefit of the overall process economy.
