Analysis of new blade tip designs echancing mechanical turbine power

Using new mathematical methods – topological fluid mechanics – and computer simulations, the exact vortex at the blade tips of a number of blade designs will be analysed. The analysis will result in new blade tip designs enhancing mechanical turbine power and reducing noise.
