Development of a water cooling unis as an energy-efficient alternative

Funded project: ELFORSK

Through energy optimisation of system components for a chiller using CO2 as coolant, the project will develop a water cooling unit as an energy-efficient alternative to cooling units using HFC. Special focus areas comprise evaporator design, adiabatic moistening of condenser air, compressor design, valves, control and regulation as well as system optimisation.
