Development of long superconducting tapes with improved engineering

Development of long superconducting tapes with improved engineering

Solution type: in Development phase

The objective of the project is to develop inexpensive, highly efficient superconducting tapes based on the Y123 superconductor. Method where the superconductor is placed on both sides of the substrate increases the efficiency of the tapes markedly. The project aims at producing long tapes using a pilot plant.
