Optimise strength

Funded by: DCSR

What causes cracks and damage on different length scales to become major cracks and damage which may develop into fractures in e.g. the blade of a wind turbine? DCCSM tests this aspect through development of new experimental and calculation-related methods on all length scales, i.e. from nano/micro scale to decameter scale. The aim is to optimise strength on all length scales.
