Energy consumption is expected to double by 2050, and development of a new energy system, composed of multiple energy sources, is therefore of key importance. The Centre will focus on five very promising areas: thermoelectrical materials, gas-storage materials, photocatalytic hydrogen production, nanoparticles for energy use, and biofuels.
