The Danish Council for Strategic Research
The Danish Council for Strategic Research (DCSR) supports strategic research of a problem-oriented and interdisciplinary nature.
The research activities funded by DCSR are usually conducted as partnerships between public and private participants. The projects must be relevant to society, have visible effect and be of importance to individual citizens’ daily lives. The research may be either basic research investigating completely new areas, or applied research aimed at finding solutions to specific problems.
The DCSR also seeks to promote international cooperation. Therefore, an international dimension is a key criterion when applications are assessed.
