The project develops climate technology and improved heat strategy for sows and sucking pigs to reduce early sucking pig mortality considerably. Application of a monitoring algorithm can predict the onset of farrowing, and the pen climate can rapidly be adjusted to current needs, thus reducing heat consumption.
