Energy savings in Ukraine

EnergiMidt has comprehensive knowledge and expertise in meeting the energy requirements of companies, optimizing energy consumption and thus reducing energy costs. In recent years we have expanded our consultancy services to energy projects all over the world, including Ukraine.
 

The potential for energy savings in Ukraine is enormous. The price of energy has historical been low and hence there has been no incitement for savings. This is apparent in the behavior of the population and the technology used in the industry. Growing energy prices and political relations to surrounding countries supplying energy have forced Ukraine to focus on energy consumption.

During the last 18 months EnergiMidt has been involved in energy saving projects in three farms and three bakeries in Ukraine. The projects focus on implementing energy reducing technologies and they are all realized with pay back times of 2-4 years.

In addition to the economic savings the projects have other positive effects. The climate in the stables has improved. This means an improved output from the farms and more satisfied employees. The cost of maintenance for old steam boilers in the bakeries has been reduced. At the same time the bakeries can reduce time and manpower spend on supervision and maintenance.
