Danish Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

Part of focus: Sustainable Transportation

The Danish Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells is an independent and strategic collaboration between private companies, research institutes, government, regional authorities, utility companies and customers.

It is a long-term aim of the partnership to ensure that Denmark is at the forefront of the development and demonstration of effective and competitive technologies and systems that integrate hydrogen – primarily based on renewable energy sources – as an energy carrier in a clean, effective and reliable energy supply. This will be pursued through continuous development of the strong Danish competencies in the field of fuel cell technology.
It is the aim of the Partnership to promote:

  • Development of core competencies in fields where Denmark has distinct skills and strengths and that present a commercial potential in a global market
  • Efficient technological development through synergy and collaboration
  • A unified, integrated and result oriented effort leading to a fast market access
  • International collaboration
  • Definition and application of favorable framework conditions for technological development
  • To enhance collaboration on standards, IPR and patents to avoid erratic investments
