The Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS) is one of the leading agricultural advisory services in Europe. It is a partnership made up of 36 local advisory centers and a national center. This unique two-level advisory system is both owned and used by Danish farmers. The partnership employs app 3,500 professionals.
The most important task of the National Center is to build bridge between research and farmers, for instance by participating in research projects, and together with the local advisory centres make sure that the new knowledge is put into on-farm practice. This include projects dealing with plant production, cattle, pigs, poultry, fur, horses, organic farming, environment, nature, stables, machinery, economy etc..
Today climate issues are important issues in our work. The aim is to find solutions to reduce emission of greenhouse gases from farming, but also to help farmers adapt their production to a changing climate.
