Water softening systems are used to soften water everywhere in our society; from industry to residential to avoid destruction of expensive equipment due to limestone build-up. Monitoring of water softening systems ensures that they work properly. The system reduces the cost of softening the water by 30-40%. This also helps the environment as the amount of salt used to charge the system is greatly reduced.

Today’s water hardness monitor systems are very expensive; they are not robust and are not online. At Danfoss Ventures we are building an online water hardness monitor which is much cheaper and much more robust than existing monitor systems.
