Offshore wind farms

DONG Energy is the market leader in offshore wind power. At DONG Energy we plan to significantly increase our renewable energy capacity, as well as reduce our CO2 emissions per kWh produced. Within the next 30 years we will reduce our CO2 emissions to 15% of current levels. We will already have halved our emissions by 2020.

Massive investments

One way to reach this ambitious target is through heavy investment in offshore wind farm projects in years to come. Great Britain is one of our main markets within offshore wind power. Here we have a series of wind farms under construction, and a series of new projects on the way. At the end of 2010, DONG Energy’s market share of the existing offshore wind farms in operation comprised 23% of a total of 1,341 MW in Great Britain.
