In order to maintain optimal comfort and a good working environment, large amounts of cold outdoor air is typically imported as a replacement for the warm air which is exported from buildings. Heating is typically carried out using fossil fuels, which means buying new heat for the purpose.

Recirculating the heat in the exported air can replace a large part of the purchased heat, when using an efficient heat recycling solution. The heat derived from such recirculation is cheap and it saves the environment through a reduced burning of fossil fuels.
