The Danish EXPO 2012 Pavilion Opened by the Crown Prince Couple
The pavilion was declared open by the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark and the Danish Minister for Business and Growth Mr. Ole Sohn.
Minister for Business and Growth Mr. Ole Sohn:
- I am very pleased with the Danish Pavilion and the way it demonstrates Denmark’s position of strength when it comes to green growth, sustainable energy sources and modes of transportation, innovation and sustainable use of our water resources including creativity and innovation.

- I am certain that the pavilion will attract a high number of visitors. The theme ‘The Living Ocean and Coast’ offers a prosperous branding opportunity for Denmark and Danish companies. The participation at EXPO 2012 Korea furthermore builds on the positive branding attained during EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
Telling a story of about innovative solutions
The Danish Pavilion has the title Denmark // Horizon. It tells the story about how careful planning, a long horizon and political, technological and infrastructural initiatives have made a Denmark where wind, water, sustainability and innovation generate green growth.

EXPO 2012 takes place in Yeosu, Korea from 12 May to 12 August 2012. The Korean EXPO organisers expect 8 million visitors. The ground area of the Danish Pavilion equals to 1000m2. It is estimated that app. 10% of the total number of visitors, equalling 800,000 will be visiting the Danish Pavilion.
From 13 May to 15 May Denmarks’ Crown Prince Couple are along with the Danish Minister for Business and Growth, the Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education and the Minister for Trade and Investment head of a large Danish export promotion in Seoul.
