State of Green and Dubai Green Economy Partnership enter into Cooperation Agreement

The agreement was signed on November 17, 2013 at the World Climate Summit 2013 in Warsaw, Poland.

 

The areas of cooperation lie within the fields of green economic development and green solutions across the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart grids, demand management, sustainable transportation, waste, water and green buildings.

 

Facilitating Green Growth between Denmark and Dubai

The agreement will enable State of Green and Dubai Green Economy Partnership to maximize synergies through capacity building and the regular exchange of knowledge concerning new developments and best practices for green business, as well as highlighting and promoting new opportunities for companies.

 

The agreement also includes the exchange of experience within sustainable development and clean energy through activities such as speaking opportunities at events and workshops, as well as through joint events on conferences and seminars focusing on sustainable urban solutions. Furthermore, the agreement promotes the fostering of relations between companies and organisations from Denmark and Dubai through introductions and matchmaking.

Dubai Green Economy Partnership was launched in line with the United Arab Emirates national green economy strategy “Green Economy for Sustainable Development”. Dubai Green Economy Partnership is the first Public-Private Partnership program in the Middle East region that aims to enable and support green trade and investment growth across national, regional and global markets.  His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is the Patron of Dubai Green Economy Partnership.
