State of Green: Web Portal in Mandarin Presents Green Danish Solutions to China

China and Denmark are two of the world’s most dynamic countries in developing and producing green technologies and solutions. To strengthen the links between the two countries and their innovative companies, the new Mandarin web portal, presents Danish companies and Danish solutions to a professional Chinese audience. The portal will show China a wide range of Denmark’s green technologies as well as public and private companies that are leaders in eight different sectors within climate adaptation, energy, water and environment.

www.stateofgreen.com/cn is launched in Beijing on 27 June 2012 in connection with the signing of a sister city agreement between the capitals of the two countries, Beijing and Copenhagen.

Around 50 Danish private and public companies and organisations are represented on the site showing decision makers in the green sector in China how Denmark and Danish companies contribute to the implementation of green and sustainable solutions. Additionally, more Danish companies, also international pace setters in their sectors, are expected to join the site in the near future.

Denmark is, although a small country with only 5.5 million inhabitants, a worldwide dominant force in research and development of green technologies and solutions. There is an old and established sustainable thinking in Denmark, which the Danish state policies as well as private businesses build on. As the first country in the world, Denmark has decided to implement a 100 per cent sustainable energy target for the Danish society. Fossil fuels will over the next 38 years be outfaced from production of energy and electricity as well as transportation to zero per cent in 2050. Danish companies and organisations will contribute to this process and will show the world what they have to offer. And with www.stateofgreen.com/cn, this information is now also available in Chinese.

Finn Mortensen, Executive Director, State of Green Consortium:

‘Earlier in June, Denmark had the honour of receiving President Hú Jǐntāo of the People’s Republic of China, on an official visit to Denmark. This gave Denmark the opportunity of presenting Denmark’s green policies and solutions. Danish companies have excellent products in many green sectors – wind power, energy efficiency, district heating, water, environment and many others – but not least are Danish companies excellent in combining the top class products to full scale solutions which are very attractive all over the world. With the presentation of Danish solutions on www.stateofgreen.com/cn we hope to make the national barriers weaker and to build stronger business relations between the two countries. We sincerely hope that Chinese decision makers and media will be inspired by the presentation of the Danish solutions.’
