World Climate Summit 2013
Taking climate actions was on the agenda at the World Climate Summit 2013 with a focus on providing key public and private sector solutions and a business process to complement a global deal in Paris 2015.

State of Green was present in the forum of key stakeholders to exchange views and opinions with the aim of partnering on global green growth and strengthening international awareness of the solutions and competences of Danish business and industry within energy, water, climate and environment

State of Green’s CEO, Finn Mortensen, participated in a panel debate on national and sub-national collaboration on climate change, amongst other things stressing the need for private sector involvement:

“It is always very positive when leaders from the private sector get together to discuss or to be inspired by interesting solutions from other countries. The world needs the private sector to develop new solutions – and that the private sector takes the responsibility and can see green business as a very attractive and good business”, said Finn Mortensen.

Sharing Danish solutions at the Culture Palace
To facilitate Danish competences and promote green solutions, State of Green was present at the Danish pavilion in the Culture Palace alongside the Danish Agriculture and Food Council and the Danish companies: Danfoss, Velux, Vestas and Aarsleff

Minister for Climate, Energy and Building Martin Lidegaard addressed the audience by highlighting the targets and ambitions behind Danish transition to a fossil independent society by 2050. Also present was Secretary of State Mr Janusz Zbik from the Polish Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime economy and the Secretary of State, Mr Jerzy Pietrewicz from the Ministry of Economy. Following his speech, Mr. Lidegaard participated in a series of meetings with the Danish company representatives.
