Denmark Hosts New Global Maritime Summit in 2014

The maritime sector is a major engine for growth, innovation and economic development in Denmark, which has a long heritage as a maritime nation. In 2012, the Danish Government launched an agenda for growth in the maritime cluster to build on the maritime strongholds and offer even more competitive framework conditions.

Danish Maritime Days is part of the outcome of this strategic focus and State of Green will contribute through showcasing of green Danish maritime solutions within environmental- and energy-efficient solutions, where Danish companies hold a strong position.

Danish Maritime Forum 2014
A central element of Danish Maritime Days is the Danish Maritime Forum, a global summit which will bring together leading maritime decision-makers from all across the world to propose and discuss new solutions to the major challenges faced by the global maritime industry. The aim is to create a recurring international event building on Denmark's role as a natural hub in maritime Europe.

“Danish maritime companies supply innovative solutions that are among the best worldwide. Consequently, we contribute to setting the global maritime agenda. By means of Danish Maritime Days we build on this tradition and cement Denmark's position as an important player when debating the future of the maritime sector”, says President of Danish Maritime & CEO of MAN Diesel and Turbo Thomas Knudsen

Danish Maritime Days will be held 6-10 October 2014.
