The purpose of the agreement is to increase political contacts and trade between the two countries in order to promote green growth. This is also relevant in relation to a new free trade agreement between the European Union and South Korea.

“A committed private sector is central for the success of the Danish-Korean green growth alliance. I sincerely hope that everybody will work hard to create more commercial Danish-Korean partnerships within the framework of the alliance,” Karsten Dybvad said at the signing of the agreement.

The Danish-Korean green growth alliance was initiated during President Lee Myung-bak’s official visit to Denmark last year.
