Heat and Aicondition Regulation
Danfoss, one of the worlds’s leading manufacturers of high-efficiency electronic and mechanical components and controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and motion systems, today announced its participation in a series of energy efficiency makeovers of 10 U.S. Embassy residences across Europe.
Partnership Paves the Way
A unique partnership between the Alliance to Save Energy and the League of Green Embassies, a U.S. Department of State initiative has resulted in the makeovers promoting international cooperation in energy efficiency and clean technologies.
Towards an Energy Efficient Economy
“We’re excited to be part of this initiative that exemplifies the type of partnerships and collaboration needed to advance energy efficiency. The Alliance and League of Green Embassies are providing the leadership that is fundamental to creating an energy-efficient economy, and manufacturers have a platform to showcase available technologies – able to be deployed today – to reduce energy and emissions,” commented John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America.
U.S. Embassies Participate
Danfoss will provide its energy-efficient radiator thermostats to the project for installation in each of the residences. The list of participating U.S. Embassies to undergo the makeover includes:
• Berlin, Germany
• Bern, Switzerland
• Bratislava, Slovakia
• Lisbon, Portugal
• Madrid, Spain
• Paris, France
• Rome, Italy
• Sofia, Bulgaria
• Vienna bilat and IAEA, Austria
• Warsaw, Poland
Intelligent Regulation of Temperatures
The North American market relies on Danfoss thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) to provide precise temperature control on a room-by-room basis, improving comfort and lowering heating costs.
A New Business Standard
“This program demonstrates that energy efficiency can be, and should be, the standard for doing business. The payback with these technologies clearly proves the value of investing in energy efficiency retrofits,” said Andrzej Kramer, vice president of Danfoss Residential Heating.
Makeovers Launched in December
The completed makeovers are expected to be unveiled during an EE Embassy Sweep of Europe during the first couple of weeks in December – just in time to showcase the effectiveness of the energy-efficient technologies in the winter season when high heating bills are common.
