China and Denmark in New Green Commitment
The agreements will strengthen the cooperation of the two countries in the development and research of renewable energy and energy efficient buildings. At the same time it benefits the entrance of Danish businesses on the rapidly growing Chinese market for green energy solutions.

According to prognoses will China in 2035 be responsible for one third of the global growth in the use of energy. Today most energy is derived from fossil fuels, but China’s ambition is that 15 % of all its energy should come from renewables in 2020.
3 green agreements
The first agreement is with the National Energy Administration and focuses on renewable energy. It confirms a growing demand in China for knowledge about Danish solutions within renewable energy.
An agreement with the Ministry of Science and Technology targets Danish - Chinese partnerships within research and the development of energy efficiency, especially smart grids.

A third agreement with the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development aims at promoting Danish - Chinese cooperation within low energy buildings, especially development of energy efficiency, sustainable buildings and energy efficient building materials.
