Bladt Industries creates 200 green jobs in Denmark
Bladt Industries will provide 41 jacket foundations for offshore wind mills to EnBW Baltic 2, an offshore wind farm located in the German part of the Baltic Sea. The foundations will be manufactured at Lindø Industrial Park, where 30.000 m2 of production hall facilities will engage 200 people in welding, forging and assembly tasks as well as production- and project management:
“We take pride in this order because it proves that we are competitive within jacket foundations for offshore windmills. Bladt Industries is already a global market leader within traditional foundations based on the mono pile technology, but as offshore wind farms move out to deeper water, jacket foundations are expected to play a substantial role in the future”, says Peter Rindebæk, CEO of Bladt Industries
Denmark: A large and dynamic wind cluster
The benefits of using the large production halls at Lindø were many, as explained by Rindebæk:
“Lindø’s geographical location in relation to the EnBW Baltic 2 project, the possibility to recruit a competent workforce and flexibility in terms of different sized production halls makes Lindø an attractive base, despite the challenges of the Danish salary level and constraints from framework conditions”.
Michael Nymark Hansen, divisional director at Lindø Industrial Park, warmly welcomes the agreement with Bladt Industries, and the new jobs that it entails:
“This agreement is yet another important step to create a large and important wind cluster in Denmark with some of the biggest actors in the wind industry. We have some of the best facilities in Northern Europe to lift and transport the massive windmill components, and we are delighted to welcome Bladt Industries”, he says.
