VE-Net (Renewable Energy Network) is an innovation network in the energy field and funded by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The aim of the network is to create lasting collaboration initiatives between companies and research establishments focusing on renewable energy technologies in areas of manufacturing, application and integration of these technologies.
Via its matchmaking and networking activities, VE-Net acts as a catalyst for initiating interdisciplinary projects which can result in increased application of research-based expertise, development, demonstration and commercialisation of the energy competences of companies and of new energy and environmentally efficient products or system solutions.
VE-Net contributes to promoting the energy technology competences of companies and research establishments by making these competences more visible and attractive for co-operation partners in international research, development and demonstration projects. One of VE-Net's first demonstration projects was the initiation of EnergyMap.dk – the forerunner of stateofgreen.com.
