Sund & Bælt Holding

Sund & Bælt’s most important objective is to make travelling easier. More than 250,000 customers use our traffic systems every day i.e. the Storebælt link, the Øresund motorway and the Øresund rail line with its three stations as well as the ports at Odden, Ebeltoft, Spodsbjerg and Tårs. Sund & Bælt, a state-owned, limited company, is also executing the planning work for a fixed link across Fehmarnbelt.

The majority of our 137 employees are involved with the Storebælt link. In addition, approx. 200 colleagues are employed by private contractors that handle the service and maintenance tasks on the Storebælt Bridge.

Sprogø Offshore Wind Farm
At a time when climate issues are high on the agenda, transport and, therefore, infrastructure are recognised as having a strong impact on the climate. As owner of several infrastructure facilities, Sund & Bælt wishes to set a greener agenda and contribute to increased use of green energy. Our decision to build the Sprogø offshore wind farm reflects our policy of supporting the green energy. 

Global Compact
Sund & Bælt wishes to meet the UN’s Social Responsibility Requirements. In April 2009, we signed up to Global Compact.
