ForskEL is a research programme under Energinet.dk supporting research into environment-friendly electricity-generation technologies.

The main focus of the research supported by ForskEL is producing electricity and CHP in Denmark based entirely on renewable energy without reducing security of supply. A high priority is given to projects related to integration, interaction, control and regulation of power systems with more than 50% renewable energy.

The ForskEL programme has an annual funding framework of DKK 130m.
