Science Park for the curious
Danfoss Universe on northern Als is Denmark's first science- and experience park crammed with live natural phenomena, interesting technology and fun-filled activities.
The park aims to enthuse children and young people and promote interest in and understanding of technology and science. It was an old dream come true in 2005 when Jørgen Mads Clausen inaugurated the Danfoss Universe experience park. Already in the mid-90s, the Danfoss director came up with the idea of creating a park focusing on science and technology, and in 2000 he bought the Blue Cube at the EXPO exhibition in Hannover, which would become one of the symbols of the park.
In addition to the park activities, Danfoss Universe also has a host of other business areas. "Learn by Danfoss Universe" is where Danfoss Universe works with learning in the form of school visits and various projects on teaching. "Impact by Danfoss" focuses on innovation and creativity for the business community. And the independent unit Universe Research Lab performs research in play, learning, creativity and innovation.
Bright Green Youth is a non-profit project initiated by Danfoss Universe, the MS ActionAid Denmark and ProjectZero. Bright Green Youth is the youth counterpart of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP15) in Copenhagen in December 2009.
